About the Program
Wobitech is a Melbourne-based software agency working on mobile apps, websites and SaaS platforms designed for multiple industries.
We’re offering an exciting opportunity for Front-End Developer interns to join our product team and contribute directly to building responsive UI components for a live product.
This internship is designed to give you real exposure to production-level development using ReactJS, TypeScript, and TailwindCSS, while collaborating with designers, backend engineers, and real users.
What You’ll Learn
- How to build and style performant, reusable components
- Collaborate within an agile product team using GitHub, Trello/Jira, and CI/CD workflows
- Contribute to real features through sprint reviews and QA
- Work with a dedicated mentor and attend weekly code reviews and tech tutorials
Requirements:
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and TypeScript
- Experience with ReactJS or another modern JavaScript framework (e.g., Vue.js, Angular)
- Familiarity with version control tools like Git
- Understanding of responsive design and browser compatibility
- Ability to translate UI/UX designs (e.g. from Figma) into functional components
Preferred:
- Familiarity with TailwindCSS, Bootstrap, or other utility-first CSS frameworks
- Basic understanding of state management (e.g., Redux, Zustand, or Context API)
- Exposure to API integration and RESTful services
- Knowledge of applying animation
- Debugging Skills
Responsibilities
- Translate Figma designs into clean, responsive components
- Collaborate in sprint planning and daily standups
- Build high-quality, accessible, and tested UI
- Take ownership of a small feature set and ship it by Demo Day
Who Should Apply
- Students currently enrolled at Melbourne-based institutions
- Studying Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Technology
- Passionate about front-end development and eager to work on a real-world product
- Able to commit 2–3 days per week during the internship period
