We are seeking an experienced WordPress Developer to join our growing Gold Coast team. This role is perfect for someone who loves building custom WordPress solutions, enjoys working with page builders like Elementor and Divi, and has experience with WooCommerce, LearnDash, and Advanced Custom Fields (ACF).
About the WordPress Developer Role
You will be responsible for developing custom WordPress themes, creating bespoke plugins, and optimising website performance and security. You’ll collaborate with designers, project managers, and other developers to deliver high-quality websites and web applications for a range of clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, customise, and maintain WordPress themes and plugins.
- Work with Elementor, Divi, and other page builders for custom layouts.
- Integrate and manage WooCommerce, LearnDash, and Advanced Custom Fields (ACF).
- Optimise websites for performance, speed, and security.
- Collaborate with the team on UX-focused solutions and technical delivery.
- Use Git, Bitbucket Pipelines, and CI/CD for version control and deployment.
- Work on headless WordPress projects using Next.js and GraphQL.
- Configure build tools such as Webpack or Gulp.
Skills & Experience
- Strong proficiency in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6).
- Proven experience developing custom themes and plugins.
- Experience with WooCommerce customisation and payment integrations.
- Familiarity with LearnDash and Advanced Custom Fields (ACF).
- Understanding of REST API and GraphQL integrations.
- Experience with performance optimisation tools like GTmetrix or PageSpeed Insights.
- Knowledge of security best practices for WordPress.
- Comfortable with Git-based workflows and automated deployment pipelines.
